Job Overview

The Storekeeper plays a vital role in ensuring uninterrupted catering operations by maintaining accurate inventory records, proper storage practices, and timely issuance of materials. Key Responsibilities

Receiving & Quality Inspection

  • Receive food and non-food items against approved purchase orders
  • Verify quantity, quality, and expiry dates upon delivery
  • Report shortages, damages, or discrepancies immediately
  • Ensure delivery notes and invoices are accurately checked and recorded

Storage & Inventory Organization

  • Store materials correctly in dry stores, chillers, and freezers
  • Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) and FEFO (First Expiry, First Out) methods
  • Label, date, and organize items according to hygiene standards

Stock Issuance & Control

  • Issue materials to kitchen and service departments against authorized requests
  • Maintain daily stock movement records
  • Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels
  • Inform management of replenishment requirements

Documentation & Reporting

  • Update stock cards or ERP system entries regularly
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports
  • Support physical stock counts and reconciliation processes

Food Safety & Hygiene Compliance
