Available Position

DRIVER (Late Shift) S1

The Driver (Late Shift) S1 position is part of the Embassy’s Transport Team, responsible for providing safe, reliable, and efficient transportation services. The successful candidate will ensure timely transport of Embassy officials, VIP guests, and delegations while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality.

  • 🕒 Shift Timing: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
  • 📍 Location: British Embassy, Abu Dhabi
  • 📅 Contract Duration: 1-Year Fixed Term (extendable)

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive Embassy staff, guests, and delegations to various destinations safely and on schedule.
  • Conduct daily vehicle checks, including tyres, fluids, and batteries, ensuring timely servicing.
  • Keep all Embassy vehicles clean, safe, and well-maintained.
  • Maintain accurate trip records, fuel usage, and service logs.
  • Adhere to Embassy driving and conduct standards at all times.
  • Remain flexible for extra shifts or assignments as required.
  • Support other departments with logistical or administrative tasks.

Candidate Requirements

Essential Criteria:

  • Residing in the UAE with a valid residence visa and Emirates ID.
  • Possession of a clean and valid UAE driving licence.
  • Ability to secure a UAE police clearance certificate.
  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
  • Good organizational, interpersonal, and computer skills (MS Office).

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working with an Embassy or diplomatic mission.
  • Strong knowledge of Abu Dhabi and UAE routes.
  • Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge.
  • Familiarity with Health & Safety regulations.
  • Arabic language proficiency (preferred).
