Key Responsibilities:
As a Cargo Controller at Etihad Airways, your role will be vital in ensuring smooth, efficient, and timely cargo handling operations. Key duties include:
- Monitoring special cargo loads to ensure they meet service level agreements (SLAs).
- Coordinating with stakeholders to address operational delays and process inefficiencies.
- Conducting root cause analysis and recommending process improvements.
- Working with internal teams to streamline cargo handling and reduce turnaround times.
- Providing real-time updates to internal departments and customers regarding shipment status.
- Handling operational irregularities and implementing corrective actions.
- Supporting the development of KPIs and contributing to operational reports.

Ideal Candidate Profile
To qualify for the Cargo Controller position, candidates should possess the following:
- A minimum of a high school diploma; a diploma in logistics, supply chain, or operations management is an advantage.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in cargo operations or airfreight customer service.
- Strong understanding of international cargo handling procedures and airfreight logistics.
- Certifications in Dangerous Goods (DG), AVI (Live Animals), Security, or Customer Service are highly preferred.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and within tight deadlines.
